Author Bio

MB Weaver was born and raised in Teesside, North East England, in the 1980s—the very landscape that inspires the setting of her novel Future Alchemy. As a child, she travelled widely with her family, following her father’s work as a Merchant Navy engineer. These journeys sparked a lifelong love of reading, ignited at age ten by The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, which continue to shape her imagination.

An autistic storyteller, MB is an avid enthusiast of books, film, television, and video games, drawing creative influence from across genres. Her writing reflects this breadth, with Future Alchemy weaving together sci-fi, speculative fiction, fantasy, folklore, and a friends-to-lovers thread.

She recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at Teesside University and still lives in the North East, close to the sea—where she can often be found dreaming up new stories and keeping an eye out for a future canine companion to join her on beachside walks.
